Why You Learned to Read

Remember how hard it was to figure out that sometimes a "c" sounded like an "s" and sometimes it sounded like a "k"? Boy learning how to read was a real pain in the ass, right?

Well, now it's all worth it. You Will Behave is available for pre-order, which means those hours and hours of applying phonics to a language with a non-phonetic alphabet has finally paid off.

Why not reserve your copy today. Just think of all those books they made you read in junior high . . . Go ahead, you've suffered long enough. You've earned this one.

in malayalam (an Indian language) there is a joke about the same thing.

"poocha" in Malayalam means "cat"
Two people were discussing the vagaries of the English language.

First guy: Malayalam is so much better then english.
Second guy: Why?
First guy: In English, they write c-a-t, read it as "kaet" and the meaning is poocha.
Second guy: I agree. In Malayalam we write poocha, read it as poocha and the meaning is poocha!!!

Thanks Sharon. The first 50 copies will be autographed. I'll be sure to set one aside for you though.
