According to this article on girls losing interest in their toys, "Boys stick with toys longer, thanks to their unwavering interest in building things and wrecking things . . ."
Perhaps if Mattel would finally come out with a plastic surgery Barbie, girls too could develop an equally unwavering interest in building and wrecking things. They're already torturing and mutilating the little fashionista already, why not sanction it, structure it, harness it?
