How was "painstakingly" allowed to become a word? Seriously. If you accept this kind of shoddy work, you'd also have to nod your head at "timewastingly" and "asskickingly."
Actually, "asskickingly" would be better than "painstakingly." Clumsy as it is it, at least it refers to something real.
Really, pains were taken in doing this. Great thanks for telling me nothing. "The task was painstakingly difficult" makes about as much sense as "The task was difficultycausingly difficult."

I think you should definitely coin the word asskickingly--though I'm not sure exactly how to work it into conversation.
Could you provide a few sample sentences?
I could see a huge market for the word in rock journalism: "The [Blanks] brought their asskickingly aggressive brand of death metal to Cleveland for the first time last week . . .] Any other ideas?
